On the Hunter

 

I remember sporting this authentic army green jacket to my eighth grade graduation and was immediately disrobed before even stepping foot into the auditorium.  My teachers literally yanked my "avante-garde" choice straight from my back while I shouted "...but it's TRENDY!" while watching the fashion police haul it away.  Military influenced, army green with feminine ruffles...maybe.  Army green camouflage veteran jacket straight from my gf's father's closet of memorabilia, size XL...notsomuch.  I thought I was some hot *ish strutting in there ready to collect my commencement diploma along with arbitrary compliments that would naturally  ensue.  Instead, all I got were a few scoffing chuckles and battle scars having just escaped combat.  Lesson learned:  Just because it's trendy, doesn't mean it will work for you.  Word.  Now every time I dare to dream green, I make damn sure I look like a lady, but act like a dude.  Minus the war wounds.  Ouch.
