One of the BEST things about blogging is meeting all the
creative type peeps in these last 18 months.
Some from the design world, most from the fashion world, and every once
in a while a style blog pops up on my radar that I instantly HAVE to bookmark
and put on blast for the world to know!
Meet Ms. Rachel Hall, founder of Studio Swag, currently from NOLA (New
Orleans my birthplace HOLLA!), a designer/architect/fashion junkie...basically
a gal after my own heart. Rachel's blog
features everything from runway looks, to burgeoning designers,
art/design/architecture vignettes seen through her eyes, and most importantly,
her daily looks! Duh! Seriously, if she done did away with A-Z and
all we saw was that GORGEOUS visage, I'd still be a loyal follower. Throw in some notable NOLA food porn and
watch that traffic meter shoot through the roof!
Rachel recently hosted this awesome giveaway from the peeps
at Shabby Apple and guess who won?? Yup,
yours truly! After all the hip hip
hooraying and the hootin'-and-a-hollerin', I received the dress (pic below) only to discover I
couldn't fit into the bodice....ARGghhHH!!
XS every else except the boobies...does anyone else have that
problem? (Anyone other than Bolsa
chicks? hahhaa)
Moral of the story?
It's November y'all! The time
for SCREAMING thanks as opposed to daily gratitude given throughout the other
11 months of the year. Just wanted to
send a quick shout out to Shabby Apple for stocking some amazing
vintage-inspired inventory reminiscent of those Mad Men days gone by (I LOVE
this and this, make sure to check out these for stocking stuffers come Xmas, the packaging is too too cute!!),
and I also wanted to send a huge THANKS to Rachel, my designer blogger buddy
for keepin' design alive and good vibes aplenty. Kisses Rach!!
